Create an RSS Feed Module

You are on the Home Page Content page.

1. Click the Edit module icon for Module 3.

   The Module 3 page appears.

2. Enter the following details:

   Field	Data	Tools and Tips
   Name	RSS: Entertainment News	Module heading on the home page.
   Description	Module Description 3	Not displayed on the home page when the Type field is RSS Feed.
   Position	3	Specifies the order in which the modules are displayed.
   Type	RSS Feed	Each module type has its own characteristics and icon. Use RSS Feed to display content summaries of news, blogs or forums.
   Important: You must complete the Content field if the Type field is RSS Feed.
   Content	Enter the URL below to view the Herald's Entertainment RSS Feed.	Enter the URL of the RSS Feed that you want to subscribe to.
   URL	http://syndication.apn.co.nz/rss/nzhrsscid_001501119.xml
   Published	Yes	Yes/No field that controls whether the module is displayed in ESS or hidden.

   The Items tab is not displayed because you entered the content in the Content field.

3. Click Submit to return to the Home Page Content page.

If an exception occurs while ESS attempts to load the RSS Feed, then an error similar to the following message is displayed.

If the feed is invalid, then the home page may take longer to load because ESS must wait for the request to timeout.

You have set up an RSS Feed module, and now you will create a Promotion Module.
