Create a Promotion Module

You are on the Home Page Content page.

1. Click the Edit module icon for Module 5.

   Use Module 5 so the promotion is on the right-hand side of the web page.

   The Module 5 page appears.

2. Enter the following details:

   Field	Data	Tools and Tips
   Name*	Module 5	Not displayed on the home page when the Type field is Promotion.
   Description*	Module Description 5	Not displayed on the home page when the Type field is Promotion.
   Position	5	Specifies the order in which the modules are displayed.
   Type	Promotion	Each module type has its own characteristics and icon. Use Promotion to embed special ‘rich’ content.
   You must enter a Content Location field if the Type field is Promotion.
   Content Location	SampleModule\SampleModule.ascx	Must point to a web user control in the SampleModule directory. ESS looks for the file in the ESS directory, for example, D:\ESS\ESS\SampleModule
   The SampleModule web user control is supplied for use in this tutorial. If a customer wants to display a promotion module on their home page, then they are responsible for providing the ascx file.
   Published	Yes	Yes/No field that controls whether the module is displayed in ESS or hidden.

3. Click Submit to return to the Home Page Content page.
4. Edit Modules 4 and 6 and change Published to "No".

You have set up four modules and now you will view the completed ESS home page.
