Message Inbox allows the assigned employee or WAP to create company messages.
To create a message:
Field |
Details |
To |
Select from: All Department(s) Employee(s) Location(s). |
Recipients |
Hidden when To = All. The Recipients list corresponds to the option that you selected in the To field. For example, if you select "Departments", then the Recipients pick list displays the departments that are set up in PayGlobal. To select recipients: 1. Click the pick list button to open the list. 2. Click the checkboxes for the departments/employees/locations that you want to send the email to. 3. Click Submit. |
Requires acknowledgement |
Yes/No field that controls whether you want employees to acknowledge that they have received and understand the message. To acknowledge the message, employees must click the Acknowledge button. |
|
|
Subject |
Enter a subject for your message — similar to the subject line of an email. |
Content |
Enter the content of your message — similar to the body of an email. You can use standard HTML tags to format the message. However, you must use square brackets instead of greater than and less than characters (as shown below). For example, "This is a message with BOLD text" is displayed to the recipient as "This is a message with BOLD text". |
Personal Messages
The Message Administrator does not receive company messages or personal messages. However, employees can report messages. If an employee reports a message, then they send it to the Message Administrator with details about why they are reporting the message.
The reported message appears in the Personal Messages section of the Message Administrator's Message Inbox. The Message Administrator is responsible for checking and actioning reported messages.
The Message Inbox page has the following options:
