Course Type Admin

Course types are templates that courses are based on. Course Types records contain generic course values that you can use when you create a Courses record. For example, all First Aid courses would be based on one First Aid Course Types record.

Examples of Networking Course Types are:

• Introduction to Networking
• Local Area Networking
• Wide Area Networking.

  Do not use the following setup
  Course Type = Networking
  Courses =
  - Introduction to Networking
  - Local Area Networking
  - Wide Area Networking.
  The Course type description is displayed in ESS, not the Course description. Using this setup, ESS would display "Networking" for all of the descriptions and the employee would never see the "Introduction to Networking" description.

Course Type Admin allows the assigned employee or WAP to:

• set up new course types using ESS, which are saved back to PayGlobal
• view all course types that are in PayGlobal filtered by Category and Classification
• edit the course types.

When you click Course Type Admin in the menu, ESS displays a list of course types.

Use the Category lookup and Classification lookup to filter the course types that are displayed on the Course Type Admin page.

Note: Filtering in the Course Type Admin form flow may also control which courses are displayed.
