The Administrator chapter explains the subjects listed below.
Generating Passwords
You can use a query to assign and email passwords to groups of employees or generate an ESS password for one employee.
Allowances and Timesheets
After an employee submits an allowance or timesheet, their manager approves it and processes the allowances and timesheets to create CSV files. The Payroll person imports each CSV file into PayGlobal to generate payments.
Leave Requests
You must set up and attach Leave Request Settings records to employees to enable them to apply for leave in ESS. Leave Request Settings control how ESS handles leave for employees.
After an employee submits a leave request and their manager approves it, the leave application is forwarded to the PayGlobal database. You can then view and process leave requests in PayGlobal Transaction View.
Publishing Documents to the ESS Website
You can publish a variety of documents to the ESS website. These documents are stored in PayGlobal Document View. Documents such as company policies can be published so that all employees can view them. Documents relating to an individual can also be published so that only the employee concerned can view them.
Customising the ESS Homepage
After you log on to ESS successfully, you will see the home page. You can use the ESS home page to communicate with employees. Administrative users can log on to ESS, and then add or edit the contents of the home page. The home page can contain up to six modules.
Monitoring Usage from Website Statistics
When a user logs on to ESS, the pages that they view are recorded in the user activity log.
