Leave Uploader Application
You can use the Leave Uploader application to upload multiple leave requests for multiple employees from a single CSV file to ESS and PayGlobal. You can then view the requests from ESS, and after they are approved, you can also view them in PayGlobal.
Notes
- The Leave Uploader:
- manages leave for full days only. Leave for partial days is ignored.
- will not upload requests for employees with Leave unit source = "Keyed" or "None" for any part of the request. A validation error will appear, which prevents the requests from being uploaded.
- does not use compliance checking to check leave balances when it uploads the leave requests.
- respects the MaxPastDays and MaxFutureDays values. When the leave Uploader tries to add a leave request outside these time frames, an error will appear.
- checks for any leave requests with a start date in an approved timesheet. If any leave requests are found with an approved timesheet, then an error will appear.
- ignores leave reasons on timebands and creates the leave request in the CSV file (affects employees with "2. timebands by timesheet" type timesheets only).
- Pay periods must be set up for the leave requests that will be uploaded.
- Security does not control who can access the reason codes.
- The employee WAP must exist, and must not have expired before the end date of the leave request.
- Data that contains commas in the CSV file will cause problems when the information is uploaded.
- Leading zeros in employee codes may cause problems when you edit the file using Excel.
- Only the first error found for a leave request is returned. If a leave request has a number of errors (for example, the employee code and the date are invalid), then only the first error found is reported. When the error is resolved and the validation or upload is attempted again, then the next error is identified and reported.
