This field is enabled when Allow proportional costing = "No". If you do not allow proportional costing, then you can split allowances by an allowance group. You would normally use this setup for non-paying transactions to enable a costing split based on hours worked at different cost centres in the pay period.
Instead of setting up a proportional costing split for a non-paying allowance, you can select an allowance group for cost splitting. The allowance group should contain all allowances that need to be considered for cost splitting. When you process the non-paying allowance, PayGlobal splits it using the employee’s actual costs for all allowances in the allowance group.
The Type specified in the allowance group determines the costing split.
