Period Tax PTDs define the number of days in each taxation reporting period.
The Details tab fields define the start and end dates of the Period Tax PTD.
New Zealand
If a New Zealand company has a gross annual PAYE of $500,000 or more, it needs to file an Electronic Deductions File (EDF) twice a month. As a result, such companies have a bi-monthly tax reporting period so they have 24 Period Tax PTDs records in a year.

If a New Zealand company has a gross annual PAYE less than $500,000, it needs to file an Electronic Deductions File (EDF) once a month. As a result, such companies have a monthly tax reporting period so they have 12 Period Tax PTDs records in a year.

Australia
Australian databases use an annual tax reporting period so they have one Period Tax PTDs record in a year.
