Full File Replacements

Overview

Full file replacement submissions refer to the replacement of data from a Payroll Event that has already been reported to the ATO.

In PayGlobal a Full File Replacement submission can and will only be generated if the Rollback pay feature is used and if certain conditions are met.

What's the difference between a Payroll Event and a Full File Replace Event?

The only difference is the setting of the Full File Replacement Indicator.

If you need to report corrections to the PAYER's period totals of an older pay, then this needs to be corrected manually via the ATO Access Manager Portal.

If you need to report corrections to a Payee's YTD amounts due to data having been adjusted via PayGlobal's Sychronisation feature or via SQL scripts (i.e. no extra manual pays completed via the UI) then, see Update Events

What happens if my payer has multiple pay periods?

Lets say you have a monthly and a fortnightly pay for the same payer.

If the last closed pay for the payer belonged to the monthly pay, but you need to rollback and make corrections on last fortnightly pay.

We recommend submitting the related pay event and if it is rejected, then put the submission into a permanently errorred state and then manually report corrections to the ATO.
