Bonuses and Commissions

In STP Phase 1 - Bonus and commission payments were part of "Gross Payments"

In STP Phase 2 - Bonus and commission payments are reported separately as requirement of Services Australia

The ATO defines almost all bonuses and commissions as OTE unless it can be explicitly proven otherwise.

• If the allowance is superable (OTE) then the ATO Reporting Category must be set to "Bonus" or "Commission" as applicable
• If the allowance is not superable (not-OTE) then the ATO Reporting Category must be set to "Over-time"
