Send and Receive

When you run the Send and Receive command, Exolvo sends the report files held in the Outbox. You can send only reports that you have generated. If you run reports to your Outbox, and then ask another user to send them, then the reports will not be sent.

If you want to email the report file, then confirm that the POP3 and SMTP fields are completed in the Company Settings | Messaging tab.

Note: You need the appropriate security rights to access this tab page.

If you want to save to file, check that you are successfully logged on to the network.

This example shows how to use the Send and Receive command.

  1. Double-click the Send and Receive command.

The Send and Receive Messages form appears.

After the reports are sent, an audit log Confirm box appears.

  2. Check the log for information on SMTP, POP3, FTP and the files sent.

Note: The audit log displays a 'failed' warning if the report was not saved to a hard drive due to insufficient access rights or an invalid folder path. For example:
"!13 User HRSETUP Copy of file for: Audit Report 001 HRSS D:\reporttemp\test.PDF Failed".

  3. Press Esc to return to the main window.
