ESS Notes

ESS notes have two purposes:

• Displays public holiday information (see Timesheet example - 1. Total by timesheet).

  

  The first 25 characters of the note are reserved for public holiday information.

• Employees can enter notes against an entry in their timesheet to provide more information about the entry, such as what work they performed for whom. These notes can be viewed by the employee's manager and the Timesheet Administrator.

  The next 225 characters of the note can be used by the employee.

When you import timeband CSV files into PayGlobal using the Import Roster Timebands or Import Actual Timebands command, PayGlobal MYOB PayGlobal now imports the Text field into the PayGlobal timeband tables. The Text field is optional, so if the 27th comma separated field does not exist, then the Text field will be imported as NULL.

To view the imported notes:

• in Daily View or Transaction View, customise columns and add the Text field (see Topic 2666 - Transaction View - Customise Columns in the PayGlobal Help file).
• in Transaction View, open the allowance and click the Text tab.
