Invoke Action Keys

Enter

1. Action Login button on the ESS Login page.

2. Action Submit or Next buttons.

If there are no buttons to be actioned, then pressing Enter will have no effect

Esc

Action Cancel button

Insert

Action Add or Add [item] buttons.

CTRL + i

Action Add or Add [item] buttons. Apple only

Note:

If using Apple products to insert use the shortcut key CTRL + i.

For all other products use Insert.

If the same keystroke would action multiple buttons on the page, then the keystroke applies to the first button.

The Enter key does not work if the cursor focus is:

- Inside a text area field. In this situation, the Enter key will perform the default action and move to a new line in the text area field.

- Not inside a form field.

Move Tabs

Ctrl + <-
(left arrow)

Move to the tab to the left of the current tab.

Ctrl + ->
(right arrow)

Move to the tab to the right of the current tab.

Note:

This functionality is not supported when using Apple products

If the tab group is displayed over multiple lines, then these keys will not work for moving between lines.

If multiple tab groups are displayed, then these keys will control the first tab group on the page only.
