Add Injury

After you click the link beside the Injury heading, the Add Injury form appears.

1.  Use the following table to complete the Add Injury page.

   Field Name	Details
   How injury occurred*	How the injury occurred, such as "Powered Equipment". See Lookup Functionality.   You have the following options to select information in a lookup field. Click in the field and start typing The auto-complete list appears. When you start typing in a lookup field, the items are filtered by the value you type using the "has word that starts with" clause on the code and description of the items. For example, the following lookup list is reduced from 12 items to 5 items when you type "ch". Use the arrow keys to move to the required option in the filtered list and then press Enter to select it. Important: If you want to view the whole list, then you must clear the text in the field to remove the filtering. Click the down arrow to display the items in the lookup list. Note: If the lookup already has a value selected, then you must delete that value or the lookup list will be blank (because it is filtered). The list automatically displays a maximum of 15 items. The status row at the bottom of the list shows the number of items available. Click the status row to see more items. If the total number of items is greater than 100, then you may not be able to see all of the items. In this situation you start typing in the text field to search for the item. When you select an item from the list, the record description is displayed below the field.
   Nature of injury*	Type of injury, such as "Cut or open wound".
   Body part injured*	Part of the body that was injured, such as "Hand".
   Process involved*	Process involved in the injury, such as "Accidental Lacerations (Cuts)".
   Treatment provided*	Treatment provided for the injury, such as "Doctor".
   Notes	Further information about the injury.

2. Click Submit.

   The injury record is created in the grid.

   

3. Click Submit.

The Injured persons record is displayed on the Add Incident page.

Note: If more than one person were injured in the incident, then you would repeat the preceding steps to add their details and injuries to the incident.
