Non-Reportable Employees
Overview
PayGlobal can/is used to record a variety of employees that don't fit the ATO's definition of an employee. Which means you need to distinguish your reportable employees from your non-reportable ones.
Some examples of employees you would want to exclude:
- Employees who are not based/paid in Australia
- Personnel hired from an employment temp agency
- Contractors who are not covered by the Business and personal Services income reporting requirements
How to exclude non-reportable employees
To exclude non-reportable employees, they must have an employment contract with the field "Include in Online Tax Reporting" set to "No".
- If you have a mix of reportable and non-reportable employees that are linked to the Contract code, you will need to set-up new Contract records for your non-reportable employees.
- If you have non-reportable employees with no Contract record, you will need set-up and link them to new Contract codes
