Adjustment Example: Keep details on termination = "No"
In this example, an employee's annual leave table has Keep details on termination = "No", and they were paid out too much annual leave on termination.
- In Transaction View, add a negative Annual Leave transaction for the employee.
- Manually calculate taxation override values because Exolvo cannot determine previous lump sum totals for this employee.
- In Transaction View, add a Tax override transaction for the employee and enter the manually calculated Override amount and Lump sum component values.
- Add an adjustment ETP for the terminated employee. See Add Adjustment ETP.
Important: The adjustment ETP must be in the same tax year (Period YTD) as the employee's termination payment.
- In Transaction View, add a termination (X-type) transaction for the terminated employee.
Note: We recommend setting up and using a "Post-termination payments" X-type allowance for this type of termination transaction. See Minimising Incorrect Payments for Terminated Employees.
- Process the employee's pay to generate a negative Lump Sum A value, which Exolvo allows in post-termination pays.
