Adjustment Example: Keep details on termination = "No"

In this example, an employee's annual leave table has Keep details on termination = "No", and they were paid out too much annual leave on termination.

  1. In Transaction View, add a negative Annual Leave transaction for the employee.
  2. Manually calculate taxation override values because Exolvo cannot determine previous lump sum totals for this employee.
  3. In Transaction View, add a Tax override transaction for the employee and enter the manually calculated Override amount and Lump sum component values.
  4. Add an adjustment ETP for the terminated employee. See Add Adjustment ETP.

Important: The adjustment ETP must be in the same tax year (Period YTD) as the employee's termination payment.

  5. In Transaction View, add a termination (X-type) transaction for the terminated employee.

Note: We recommend setting up and using a "Post-termination payments" X-type allowance for this type of termination transaction. See Minimising Incorrect Payments for Terminated Employees.

  6. Process the employee's pay to generate a negative Lump Sum A value, which Exolvo allows in post-termination pays.
