Superannuation Fund | Allowances tab

The Allowances tab fields contain allowance codes that will be used in Transaction View for superannuation contributions. Payroll rules will reference the allowance codes in the Superannuation Funds to generate superannuation transactions. See Create Payroll Rule. Contribution calculations will be based on the values entered in the relevant Employee Super Fund records. You can use the Values (%) – Employer (%) amount as a default value when you create an Employee Super Funds record.

These fields are not mandatory, but you must enter the relevant allowance codes if you want Exolvo to generate that type of superannuation allowance. If you leave any of these fields blank, then the corresponding allowance field will be disabled in Employee Super Funds records associated with this superannuation fund. Exolvo cannot generate superannuation transactions for that allowance for employees attached to this superannuation fund.

Important: You can select only allowances that have Employer % - Details (iv) tab | Superannuation allowance = "Yes".

Enter the following type of data:

Note:

If Details tab | Defined Benefit = "No", then you can select only Z-type superannuation allowances in Employer fields, but you can select A- and Z-type superannuation allowances in Salary Sacrifice fields.

If Details tab | Defined Benefit = "Yes", then you can select A- and Z-type superannuation allowances in all fields.

Warning-SuperFund-RESCAllowCodes

Values (%)

Employer (%)

9.50000

Employer’s percentage contribution for this superannuation fund. When you create an Employee Super Funds record you can copy across this value, and then manually adjust it if required.

Exolvo uses the following hierarchy to define the Employer (%) value:

  1. Employee Super Funds | Allowances tab
  2. Superannuation Fund | Allowances tab.

If any of the allowances and deductions that you need to use in the Superannuation Fund record do not exist in your database, then you can easily add them by modelling existing allowances and deductions. Superannuation Allowances and Deductions gives examples of how each type of allowance and deduction are set up.
