The employee's timesheet may automatically display the start and end times that they were scheduled to work. They must edit these times to show their correct work hours and then submit the timesheet each week and their manager will approve or decline it.
The following image shows a submitted timesheet that is waiting to be approved. The table below the image explains the numbered features on the timesheet grid.

Period: The period date range that the timesheet is for. Status: The status of the timesheet: Not submitted, Submitted, Approved, Finalised, or Deleted. |

Public holidays are highlighted blue. In the example above the employee worked the public holiday, so the variance shows "+4.50" and the total shows "9.00" because the hours worked are treated as a leave credit. However, only the worked hours are exported to PayGlobal. |

Multiple day action To perform an action for multiple days: 1. Click the checkbox for the required days. Alternatively, click the checkbox in the header row to select all days. 2. Click the required action in the action drop-down (see Employee - Action Drop-down). |

Leave days are highlighted yellow. You can click the highlighted leave label to view the leave request. Public holidays are highlighted blue. |

Variance (+2.00) ESS compares the hours that the employee was scheduled to work (set up in PayGlobal) against the hours they entered in their timesheet. The difference is displayed in the Variance cell for the day. The Total column displays the total variance for the week. |

To read a note, click the icon to open the Notes popup. Alternatively, hold your cursor over the icon to see the note as hover text. |

Days that the employee was not scheduled to work are blank. If the employee worked and you need to add a timeband for them, then select Add timeband from the single day action drop-down. |

This timesheet has not been approved by the employee's manager, so you can see the following buttons: - Back - Save timesheet - Approve timesheet - Decline timesheet - Delete timesheet. If the manager had approved the timesheet, then you would see the following buttons: - Back - Recall timesheet (see Recall timesheet). |
