When your database has been enabled to use LOP it is recommended that any deletion of leave be managed solely from ESS.
This is because manually deleting a leave timeband from Daily View does not update the employee's Employee Leave Request record nor does it create any feedback loop for the employee or the employee's manager to monitor/approve the change.
The same also applies if you delete the Employee Leave Request record from the employee inside PayGlobal. Aside from having no feedback loop deleting the Employee Leave Request record via PayGlobal it creates a data integrity issue which could cause a database crash.
When you click the Delete icon next to a leave request in ESS, what happens in Daily View is dependant on the employee's Leave Approval Settings record and the scenario you are looking at.
"Modification" of the current Roster/Actual, basically means that either a gap in the timebands will remain or the entire days timebands (excluding other leave) is replaced by the employee's roster. Other leave is also reinserted onto the roster that has been restored.
This does mean any manual changes that you made to the non-leave timebands will be lost.
